  19.      The set of instances for performance metrics returned from a ppppmmmmFFFFeeeettttcccchhhh(3)
  20.      call may be filtered or restricted using an instance profile.  There is
  21.      one instance profile for each context the application creates at the
  22.      Performance Metrics Application Programming Interface (PMAPI), and each
  23.      instance profile may include instances from one or more instance domains
  24.      (see ppppmmmmLLLLooooooookkkkuuuuppppDDDDeeeesssscccc(3)).
  25.
  26.      ppppmmmmDDDDeeeellllPPPPrrrrooooffffiiiilllleeee may be used to delete instance specifications from the
  27.      instance profile of the current PMAPI context.
  28.
  29.      In the simplest variant, the list of instances identified by the _i_n_s_t_l_i_s_t
  30.      argument for the _i_n_d_o_m instance domain are removed from the instance
  31.      profile.  The list of instance identifiers contains _n_u_m_i_n_s_t values.
  32.
  33.      The _i_n_d_o_m value would normally be extracted from a call to
  34.      ppppmmmmLLLLooooooookkkkuuuuppppDDDDeeeesssscccc(3) for a particular performance metric, and the instances in
  35.      _i_n_s_t_l_i_s_t would typically be determined by calls to ppppmmmmGGGGeeeettttIIIInnnnDDDDoooommmm(3) or
  36.      ppppmmmmLLLLooooooookkkkuuuuppppIIIInnnnDDDDoooommmm(3).
  37.
  38.      If _i_n_d_o_m equals PPPPMMMM____IIIINNNNDDDDOOOOMMMM____NNNNUUUULLLLLLLL or _n_u_m_i_n_s_t is zero, then all instance
  39.      domains are selected for deletion.  If _i_n_s_t_l_i_s_t is (_i_n_t *)_0, then all
  40.      instances in the selected domain(s) are removed from the profile.
  41.
  42.      To disable all available instances in all domains, use
  43.      _p_m_D_e_l_P_r_o_f_i_l_e(_P_M__I_N_D_O_M__N_U_L_L, _0, (_i_n_t *)_0).  This is the only situation in
  44.      which _i_n_d_o_m may be PPPPMMMM____IIIINNNNDDDDOOOOMMMM____NNNNUUUULLLLLLLL.

  55.      It is possible to delete non-existent instance domains and non-existent
  56.      instances from an instance profile.  None of the routines that use the
  57.      instance profile will ever issue an error if you do this.  The cost of
  58.      checking, when checking is possible, outweighs any benefits.
